Oftentimes
as we pray for Israel, we must also stand in the gap for the nations
and leaders of nations who stand against a withering flood of evil
words spewed out by the Enemy against Israel.
Such
is the case right now for British Prime Minister Tony Blair and
for Great Britain where so great has been the flood of false accusations
against Israel and manipulation of the truth in the media, that
a new wave of anti-Semitism has been released in the nation.
We—the
intercessors for Israel—are what stands between that evil
flood threatening to wipe out the voices of truth in Great Britain
and breakthrough for the will of God in world politics. Our pray
can sustain leaders so they will not be washed away by the flood
of evil words and may continue to lend support to the Jewish homeland.
In
your intercession for Israel and for our own leaders in the United
States, please lift your voices for the deception of the enemy to
be broken, for the indoctrination of the British people to be supernaturally
broken, for the media manipulation of the true facts in the Arab-Israeli
conflict to be exposed. We pray for the Commander of the Armies
of Heaven—Yeshua, Jesus—to give direct orders to intercessors
worldwide for this warfare that has been unleashed by the enemy.
For God’s mercies upon these leaders and these nations!
Do
not be dismayed or discouraged at the mighty tide of this evil flood
of words against Israel! We have been given great WEAPONS of WORD
to WAR with on Israel’s behalf (as we often we find ourselves
standing in war for Israel on one front, and warring for our own
lives and our families on another front!) The weapons of our warfare
are Divinely empowered—truly we have nothing to fear but fear
itself! When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the
Lord will lift up a standard against Him. We are that standard when
we are speaking in agreement with His Word in due season. Yes, intercessors!
We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us.” It
is not enough to curse the darkness, we must speak forth LIFE.

War
is terrible, but it does prove a few things.
It proves who your friends are, and we have many
who are now standing with us as never before.
Your support during these weeks is a constant source of inspiration
and encouragement to us and we feel closer than ever to you and
rejoice in this fellowship of saints.
It proves what's important to us. So many people
have reached out in helping the needy. People from all over Israel
as well as the nations have risen up to bring financial and humanitarian
aid to the war victims in the North of Israel. Continuing in
these efforts we go back to the Lebanese border this week to
distribute school aid for the children returning to school next
week as well as medical supplies to the clinics there.
War is terrible, but it also brings people together.
We are working hand in hand with government and local officials
in helping rebuild the nation in the wake of the thousands of missiles
that fell. It is a time to bring hope and courage to our hurting
peoples. No less to the hurt, unbelief and rejection by the family
of nations who refuse to acknowledge Israel's right to defend herself
in this war for survival.
There is a price to pay in war, but it produces courage.
We are so proud of the young people who are not afraid to stand
up to the terror militias. I believe we all need to stand up and
honor the young people of this nation and applaud them for going
to the frontlines protecting you and me and giving their lives to
preserve the people of Israel. These are the true heroes of our
time no matter what the media or the UN or terrorist propaganda
say. Thank you for holding our children in your prayers.
Our nation is going through a trial of self examination wondering
why we were not able to completely eradicate the Iranian Hezbollah
from South Lebanon.
I am
sure that there is much to be learned from mistakes made,
from lack of intelligence or from an overly self confident laziness
that has infected the nation, but I am proud to be an Israeli.
Proud that we stood up to this enemy. Proud that we
didn't hesitate though perhaps we were not as ready as we could
have been. Proud that we sent a message to the dictator
regimes in our part of the world that they are in for a fight.
I love this land and I love this people, and I am convinced that
God does so too.
War will test our love. Many visitors left the
country and others cancelled their trips, while now is the time
to demonstrate of God's love to a hurting nation. Now that the Israelis
from the North have gone back to their homes our Guest House is
empty. Now would be a great time to come.

Prayer
for Lebanon and the Middle East
1. Last
week Israeli soldiers uncovered a giant war-command-center bunker
of Hizballah in southern Lebanon. It was estimated to be
2 square kilometers (!) under ground, fully equipped with ammunition,
communications, storage, etc. The infuriating part was that it was
located right next to a UNIFIL post, meaning that its illegal
construction was done under the cover of the UN. Israeli soldiers
detonated the bunker.
2. This
is a turning point in history for Lebanon and the history of Christian-Muslim
conflict. The majority of Lebanese are not sympathetic
to Hizballah, but have been paralyzed by fear and unable to control
them. This is the chance for the Lebanese people and government
to gain control of their country again, and break the influence
of the terrorist militias. Nasrallah admitted that he mistakenly
underestimated the power of the Israeli response to the kidnappings
that started the war. Pray for Prime Minister Seniora
to give strong leadership to rebuild the country, disarm Hizballah,
to allow freedom of religion and of the press, and to protect their
borders. Pray for success for the true Christians throughout
Lebanon.
3. While
the UNIFIL has consistently betrayed their "peace keeping"
mandate and submitted to the terrorists in southern Lebanon,
they have a new opportunity and a renewed mandate
to keep Hizballah from rearming, and they are being reinforced by
soldiers from such countries as Italy, France, and Germany. Kofi
Annan has announced his intention to fulfill resolution 1701, including
the disarmament of Hizballah and the return of the Israeli soldiers.
The UNIFIL forces are supposed to work in helping the Lebanese government
soldiers. Let us pray for them to do it and for Kofi Anan
to give correct leadership this time.

Shalom and Joy to You
in Messiah! I have just returned home late last night from my rather
sudden trip to Zimbabwe ('House of Stone'). It was my great privilege
to be included as an active delegate -- representing the Lord from
out of Israel -- to an historic conference hosted by the Prayer
Networking Conference in Harare (their 10th anniversary) along with
the European-African Reconciliation Process, which has had its own
conferences for the past 7 years in Europe. This year the program
and vision was expanded to many more African nations and participants
along with some of the European nations represented by some of those
who have been in the process of seeking the forgiveness of Africa
and Africans for the sins of their fathers in the 'scramble for
Africa' in 1884/85. . . . . That Israel was a feature in this conference
was significant in that it marked an understanding by at least some
that Israel and the Jewish people are a necessary component of the
ultimate forgiveness, peace, and reconciliation which God will accomplish
between and among the nations through Messiah Jesus, our Righteousness.
Israel's significance as a nation gives significance to other nations,
which was clearly brought out by the dear servant of the Lord from
Uganda, Laban Jjumba.
…. This conference
even brought in political leaders -- the Chiefs -- from the local
and national clans, and they clearly heard and saw the Word of God
and His Presence in our midst. The messages were inspiring and faith-building.
….. I
was really blessed by the way in which Israel was referred to as
an example for them, especially by the Africans. It was clear to
me in the atmosphere of this conference that I was there as a debtor,
having been a recipient of so much, including from descendants of
Black African slaves who served my family back in the U.S. even
until today. Also, as a White American Israeli Jew, in each of those
categories I and we have done much to cause others to feel less
than equal, and make it difficult even for our supporters to always
be comfortable in that, due to so much unrighteousness. I and my
people have also been recipients of many blessings and good from
the gentiles of whatever nation and from many Christians from out
of those nations. I am in debt to them.
…. God is moving
in Africa. Keep these things in prayer, for these last days are
full of deception. And as the Scriptures say, "Many who are
last shall be first". Hallelu-Yah!

Let
the Esthers pray and intercede. Let the Ezras and
Nehemiahs put their shoulder to the work. Let the
Cyruses provide the materials necessary to build the Kingdom.
Many workers stand waiting to be released. Plans and visions are
ready to be implemented. It is harvest time. Look to see how you
can invest in the work of God in Israel. There has never been a
better deal. Sow the substance which will pass away and reap what
will endure for all eternity. Our plea is not for the State of Israel.
It is for the glory of the Lord, His return, and life from the dead
for the world (Rom. 11:15).
